Now, about that last part of the wall that Ron put in. It started bowing inward into the bathroom, so Ron decided to take it out. He also had to clamp the one side of the first wall by the doorway to get it back in shape. One of the local disc golfers told him to just let him know and he would take him down there, which we thought was pretty nice of him. So, we're just waiting for him to let us know when he can do it. Meanwhile, we heard back from our teacher that taught the bus conversion workshop a couple of years ago. He has a program that will let him design cabinets, so he told us he wanted to design our cabinets for us. I'm not sure how that's going to work, maybe we take pictures of the area where we want the cabinets to be and he goes on from there, we'll have to wait and see. When we find out how it's done, we'll let you know about it.
Fellow Boomers, Bruce & Kathy Johnston came up this past weekend to visit and to eat dinner with us for Ron's 60th birthday on Sunday night. In these next few pics, Bruce is helping Ron put in a temporary cabinet for the bathroom sink. We're just trying to see how it's going to look, and I think it looks pretty good.

Hi all, it's been a few days, so thought I would get you updated on what's been done so far. Ron had one last sheet of plywood, but, when he set it on the picnic table, realized it was a bit warped out of shape. He thought if he left it out for awhile, it would start to flatten out and it did, sort of, for awhile. Just long enough to be screwed with the rest of the wall... He decided he would just cut it out and put it up. These next few pictures show how it looks.

We are right on the Clackamas River, but, you can't see it from our park because we are on a bluff and there is too much underbrush next to the fence. But, it is there and we can get to it anytime we want because there is a nice path down to a dock where you can launch a canoe or kayak or other small boat. We also have a dam right next to our park and they just finished an $18 million fish ladder, which ultimately closed the boat ramp we had. We have a key to go see the fish ladder whenever we want to, because we work here, isn't that nice of them? Ron's been on it with the biologists already, they were tagging wild chinook coming up the ladder.
Half of our day use park is a frisbee golf course. People throw discs, that are smaller than a regular frisbee, at a metal basket with chains hanging down. I'll be posting a picture of one. These "disc golfers" refer to their discs as a golfer would refer to his golf clubs; a putter, etc. Each disc is weighted a certain way depending on if he's throwing way far away or close up. Some of the "holes" are through the trees, so these people have to get pretty creative in order for their discs to even get close. It's a very interesting sport, to say the least. It's very popular around here, the state park across the river has one, too. In August, the state championships will be coming to our park. It should be very crowded around here that weekend.

July 3
Before I begin, let me wish you all a Happy 4th of July!! Tomorrow is the big day, and Ron will again be working on the bus. It is our day off, although I do have to work a few hours in the late afternoon at the other day use park, but, we should still be able to make the parade in town and see the fireworks tomorrow night. I said in my last post that I would be posting more pictures that night, but, I got lazy and didn't do it. So, I'm posting them tonight, instead. I tried to tell you how Ron patterned the wall in my last postings, but, didn't do a very good job of it, so now I have some pictures of how he did it for the middle part of the wall. These pictures tell a better story than the last set did.
