On Tuesday, we didn't do much of anything, just stayed home, so Ron could rest his back. We watched some movies and I finished up a book I had been reading forever. Ron actually suggested that we go for a drive the next day and I was surprised. But, he'd been taking his Aleve and his back seemed to feel much better. So, we decided to drive towards the northeast entrance of the par, because we had heard that there was the possibility of seeing wolves and/or moose up there.

So, this morning, bright and early, we left to see what we could see. The very first thing we did see, as we started down the other side of Dunraven Pass was a grizzly bear. Of course, our first inkling that something was going on was the traffic jam going down the road, on both sides. Ron grabbed the camera and walked over to see what was happening. I happened to be looking at him when he motioned to bring the zoom lens and I got to see him, too. He was rather large, but, up high on a bluff, just standing there browsing. Apparently, he had just come across the road from the other side, too bad we weren't there for that! But, I was amazed when I finally downloaded the pictures onto the computer, these pictures really came out good and I'm only posting two of them. Our best pictures yet of bears, as you will see.
