Now for those of you who have been to Yellowstone before, having bison in the road can be an all day thing, it seems, they just don't want to get out of the way. These were no exception, they just kept moseying across, taking their time, but, we did manage to get through a gap in the herd. A little ways farther down the road, there was one just walking along in the road!! Fortunately, he wasn't on our side of the road, so the people behind him had to just wait until he decided that he wanted to get off the road.

A few miles farther down the road, we found another traffic jam and this time, as we found out, it was because of a bear. When we first stopped, Ron wanted to jump out and get a picture of him, but, Gail said no, he probably shouldn't, because we didn't know how close to the road he was, etc. So, we waited until we got up to where the bear was and by that time, he was heading off towards the trees, but, we managed to get a halfway decent picture of his behind.
