When we got to the hiking trail, we were told that bears had been seen in the vicinity of the trail we wanted to take. We decided to take our chances, but, as we went along the main trail, heard there might be beaver dams farther up, so we decided to see those first in the hopes that the bears would depart the trail we wanted to take. Well, we didn't see any beaver dams, so decided to turn back and hike with another couple back down to our original destination. When we got to the trail, the husband of the couple we were walking with told us he'd walk with us, which greatly relieved me, because I have never walked in the woods where there were bear about and I was very apprehensive about possibly even meeting one while walking. Fortunately, for us, by the time we got halfway down the trail, the bears, which turned out to be a mama bear and two little ones, had moved off into the forest and the only sight we had that they were there was this....
