If we'd had the time, I would have loved to take the scenic side trip tour up to the Apostle Islands, just to see what it looked like up there, but, we had a destination to get to, so let it go for this time.

We had never come into Wisconsin from this direction before, so it was new territory for us to see. We saw glimpses of the lake shore through the trees and also the many lakes that dotted the landscape on the way to Rhinelander. No wonder so many people come to take part in the many water sports there are to do.
