I had wanted to stop in Bemidji to see where the headwaters of the Mississippi River were, plus see the statue of Paul Bunyan and his ox, Babe. I think I read that it also was the birthplace of Paul Bunyan. Not only that, but, Bemidji was the first city on the Mississippi River. We decided to stop at the Walmart parking lot, unhook the Jeep and see the sights.
