I forgot to say that when we stopped at the Grandview Viewpoint, I noticed a fire on the north rim and thought to myself, that figures, we're coming over there to see how it looks from that side and there's a fire to mar our view....so, we stopped in at the Visitor's Center to ask about it and was assured it was about 10 miles west of the northwestern boundary of the park.
