Last Saturday night, we went to the Coconino County Fairgrounds in Flagstaff. It was a pretty nice fair for a small one. We had a great dinner, walked through the animal exihibits, saw one of the kids who used to work at the campground, he was showing his turkey and walked in to listen to the animal auction for a bit. As we were finishing our funnel cake, Ron decided to walk through the vendors before we left for home. As I sat and rested my leg and listened to some great country western music, Ron came back out. Guess we are going to hear a 90 minute presentation on some resort near Sedona on the 20th. For the torture of that, we got two free first class tickets, (worth around $80 each), a lunch for two at some bistro and for showing up on time, $20 cash. Such a deal, huh? We wanted to go on that train anyway, so now we get to go for free and with an upgrade at that!

As of yesterday, we only have five working days left. YAY!!! We are so ready to to leave this place and see what our next adventure will be, although we will miss our co-workers that we got to know so well over the summer. Hopefully, we can stay in touch with them and see them again some day. We had a real nice summer, several Boomers stopped by to see us, and then, almost at the end of our stay, we found out some good friends, Frank & Charlou, were working in the Canyon. Too bad we didn't know it earlier, but, we did manage to get together with them just the other night. We also got to see, if only briefly, some other Boondocker friends, Carl & Carol, who were staying in the forest near Flagstaff. So, it was a fun summer with all the friends and family dropping by.
