Hi everyone, hope you all had a very good Christmas season and are looking forward to a new year! My, it's amazing how time just flies by, isn't it? It's been a month and a half since I last posted on here and am getting hints of maybe trying to update my blog...okay, okay, I'll try and get it up to date in a timely manner.
The last time I posted, we were still at our friend's house in Yuma, AZ, but, getting ready to head to northern California to sell Christmas trees once again. This year, we would be working at another lot, because the one we had last year grew condos on it. Our boss looked high and low for another lot in Walnut Creek, but, he just couldn't find the right one, so, that is why we went to the other one. While we had fun selling trees this year, the lot we were at was very slow. As a result of that, Ron couldn't hire the workers like we had last year, so he ended up doing a lot of the work himself along with one helper.
Before we left to come north, though, we had one last happy hour to go to at a fellow Boomer's, Chuck & Jan Moore. A few other couples showed up as well and a good time was had by all. It was going to be very hard leaving this beautiful clear, warm weather, to the colder, rainy north, but, it was only for a month, so we figured we could cope.
