Our new shower area

The other side

The finished look

What I forgot to tell you was we weren't expecting the carpet guys to show up when they did. The rear swamp cooler had stopped working and Ron wanted to get it working before they came out, so it wouldn't be so hot in there for them. But, it was not to be and I felt so bad knowing they would be working in there in the extreme heat. But, they told me they were used to working in the heat, so I put a fan back there in the hopes it would help a little bit. After they finished one side of the bed area, they all came out dripping wet!! I think even they were surprised at how really hot it was in there! Fortunately, it was a small area they were doing and they got it finished in record time and it looks really nice, as you will see in the next pictures.

As you can see in this close up picture, it was extremely tight in between the bed and the wall

The carpeting being put down

Wednesday, July 23

I guess it's been more than a few days since I last posted. It seems when we work, we get very little else done, I don't know why that is. I had great plans of doing lots of beading, but, that has pretty much gone by the wayside...right now, with my other co-worker out for the rest of the season because of a stroke, I'm trying to help the management by working a few extra hours, even on my days off. That may ease a bit when the manager's new girlfriend comes to live with him,and work in the store, at least there will be another body in the office with me. But, for now, I'll be working five extra hours of each of my days off, which means today and tomorrow. But, it's not like we're really busy or anything, it's just a warm body sitting in the office/store in case someone comes in to buy something or stay the night. Ron is also working extra hours, because her husband is not always here to work his hours, running back and forth visiting her and probably stressing out about a lot of things. For us, it's knowing we're getting the extra overtime hours.

I'm finally going to post the pictures of the carpeting, it looks really good throughout the whole coach now that all the flooring is in. Ron also took a picture of what the shower is going to look like once he gets everything tightened down, he's in the process now of hooking up the water hoses. He's also reconnecting everything that goes to the composting toilet so that will be up and running once again. All he really needs to do now, so that living in it will be comfortable and usable, is hooking up the propane system. It would be nice if I could use the stove, oven, and have hot water. There are other things that need to be done, more dresser drawers in the bedroom, upper cabinets in the kitchen, but, I can work around all that for now. We can wait until we get back down to the desert to have all that finished off.

July 17

Hi all, well, we are back online! I had to go to a Verizon store yesterday while I was in the big city of El Cajon. I even went over all the stuff a second time with a different lady on the phone and she decided that my problem was not my card, it was the CD. Of course, that doesn't explain what the initial problem was, because I didn't have a problem with the CD until I uninstalled the program and then re-installed it...but, of course, the guy who helped me out said it could have been something with the computer..anyway, it all got resolved when he downloaded the new program from Verizon's website on his thumb drive, then loaded it onto my computer. The other thing he did was change my home page from Yahoo to Google. Even with the success of getting on the Internet, my Yahoo home page just wasn't loading, so now my new home page is Google and I don't have a problem at all. So, I will probably be loading my pictures of the carpeting tomorrow, I just wanted everyone to know we are back up and running!

Friday, July 11

Hi all, I won't be posting any pics for awhile, until I find out what's wrong with my computer. It just stopped recognizing my air card, I spent over an hour with the Verizon techs and even stumped them! I'm figuring it has something to do with my computer, because I came up to the campground office to use their wifi and even though it said I was connected and it was a very good signal, I still couldn't get onto a web page. Soooo, until further notice, you'll just have to wait to see any further pictures. Hope everyone is having a fun summer!

Hugs, Sharon & Ron

If you remember from an earlier post, the grass was spotty and there were baby flowers, now they've filled out nicely

I think the dark wood compliments the cabinets

The carpet layers are here working as I type this. It was totally unexpected, as we thought they would be coming next week. I feel so sorry for them, because today it is about 100 degrees in the shade, they are in the bus and the swamp cooler decided not to work today. It is quite humid, so I really don't think it would have done that great, but, at least it would have been air coming in. So, I put the big fan in there, so that helps some, still, glad it's them working in there and not me! I have some pictures of the finished wood floor and our front yard with the flowers. This is usually my day off, but, will be working the afternoon shift, because they need me and not only that, I get overtime!! Hope everyone is having fun this 4th of July!
