Saturday, Aug 1

Hi all, just an update on my arm...I got a call from the orthopedic doctor at the hospital earlier tonight, (Friday) and he told me that I may have a hairline fracture in my arm somewhere, so they want me to come back in to have my arm put in a splint, then he wants me to have it re-checked in about a week. I explained that we travel in a motorhome and we don't live in a stick house. So, guess I will go to the Naval base when we get to Chicago and have them check it. So, guess we'll be going back to the hospital in about an hour to have that done and whatever other instructions he has for me.

Okay, I'm back and oh boy, I feel like the one armed girl, this is going to be annoying, only able to use one hand for a week or so. Won't be writing too many emails, (or the blog for that matter), for awhile, just too tedious doing it with one hand. But, I don't want to injure it anymore than it already is, so I'll be a good girl for awhile....

Sharon! What a drag! After reading about your fall, I am going to walk very, very, slowly and carefully! (Or maybe just spend the day sitting down.) I hope you heal quickly. :(

Safe travels,
Laurie

Sharon, There you go again. It hasn't been that long ago since the ankle incident. Did you do this just so you could get out of doing chores or are you just really fragile?

Also, what are you guys doing in Minot? Did you go there on purpose?

sorry you are bummed up. typing with one hand and one finger can take awhile, but it's do able. You can catch up on reading everyone's blogs, and cleaning out your picture files and stuff like that. Tell Ron he has to COOK! (:

Sharon, sorry to hear about your mishap and hoping you heal quickly. Next time go to a full service car wash-the one where you can sit in the car and watch...
Take care,
Cathy

Wow! How awful about the splint. But I do like the suggestion that Ron cook for you. I'll add: do the dishes too. Please keep us updated.

Sharon... terrible news about your getting hurt again! Any osteoporosis in your family??? I must admit to having fallen a handful of times each year but fortunately, nothing ever broke... it is scary enough to fall, but to be injured as well is so awful! I'm at my sister's house in Pt. Loma til I leave on the 18th, however, I am going back up to Julian tomorrow for the First Tuesday Auction to try to sell some more of my jewelry. I'll say hello to Janice for you and tell her about your painful and out-of-commission arm. Safe living! Kathy

Okay Sharon, time for putting of the feet, eating bon bons and resting the arm. Really do hope it's not too painful. Take care,
Nancy

Hi there! Found your blog while doing a search...am fascinated that you have been full timing for so long! I am sorry to hear that you are injured...that's never fun. Hope you are feeling better soon! If you get a chance sometime....I'd love to hear from you...we are headed out to the Hill City / Spearfish area in South Dakota in a couple of weeks and would appreciate any pointers....such as places to visit or roads we should avoid. We are relatively new at RVing and this is only our second trip. Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from you....I'll keep reading about your adventures!
