Thursday, Sept 10

I just noticed it has been a few days since my last posting. We haven't really been doing too much, we spent Labor Day weekend with the kids and Ron has been continuing his work down in the basement. Our nephew, Donovan, shot off some fireworks for some of theneighborhood kids that he had bought in Colorado earlier in the summer and the kids loved seeing them as did we. They bought themselves a nice patio heater to keep us all warm while sitting outside, so us adults were sitting as close as possible to be comfortable.

As soon as I go through what pictures to put on the blog, you'll see them, too. We finally pulled out of the famcamp at Great Lakes on Tuesday morning and took the bus down to Zip Dee Awnings in Elk Grove Village to have awnings installed. As soon as we dropped off the bus, we drove up here to the nephews & have been staying with them until the bus is done. It should be done sometime today, but, we aren't leaving until tomorrow. We plan on heading down to Elkhart/Goshen area to visit some fellow Boomers, Jerry & Nancy Hurley. They are in the area to get some work done on their rig, we're going because we want to walk around the flea market at Shipshewanna and maybe find an Amish restaurant to eat at, before we head back west.
